Bahia Palace

Bahia Palace This magnificent palace was commissioned in 1880 by Si Moussa Bou Ahmed and his son, both grand viziers of sovereign Moulay Hassan and Abdul Aziz. Its construction lasted seven long years. Expanded random purchases of land, the palace is a disorderly succession of luxurious secret apartments open onto patios. The complex was built on the ground floor to facilitate movement of the householder severely handicapped by his obesity. Today, only the flat, the favorite, the boardroom and the large courtyard can be visited.
